Sunlight can damage your tattoo, over time. It will drain the tattoo of color, and the outline can become more blurred and fuzzy looking. If you love the sun, and you have a tattoo, protect your artwork from the sun. Wear fabric over it, thus keeping it in the shade. Or use a sunblock over the tattoo, if you are going to expose it to the sun.
